By the age of 17, he had been accepted into medical school and went on to graduate with honors at 23 from the highly selective accelerated six-year combined biomedical program at Union College and Albany Medical College. Alongside his Doctor of Medicine degree, Dr. Bellocchio also completed concentrations in both Biology and Fine Arts.

He serves as a Board Member with the Bright Smiles Organization and volunteers as a surgeon with Smile Asia, performing corrective cleft lip and palate procedures for children in developing countries. His work has taken him to communities across Africa, Asia, Central and South America, and India, bringing life-changing care and new smiles to children in need.

Dr. Bellocchio completed an intensive decade of residency and fellowship training, including full general surgery and plastic surgery residencies, chief residency programs, and additional fellowships in microsurgery research and craniofacial surgery. His plastic surgery education took place at some of the world’s most prestigious and respected centers of graduate medical training, providing him with exceptional expertise and experience.

Founding his private plastic surgery practice in Seattle in 2000, Dr. Bellocchio has built and upheld a strong commitment to exceptional patient care, uncompromising safety standards, naturally beautiful results, and the advancement of the art and science of plastic surgery.
He has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in surgery and plastic surgery, and has presented numerous lectures at both national and international conferences. Dr. Bellocchio also serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, one of the nation’s top medical schools. Over the course of his career, he has received multiple awards in surgery and plastic surgery education and has consistently been recognized among the best plastic surgeons in regional and national rankings, including Castle Connolly’s Top Doctor listings.
